How to remain mentally and physically healthy and fit has become the biggest problem for modern man but it can be addressed by adapting six-morning habits in our daily lives. In this article, I am going to include the importance of six-morning habits for physical and mental health and fitness, as suggested by Hal Elrod.

In the busy and tough daily routine, the present man has neglected his health. The large quantum of work and overtiredness have collectively affected the physical as well as mental health of the modern man.

However, a little bit of positive change in our daily routine can bring a lot of positivity to our physical and mental health.

Today, we are going to discuss six healthy morning habits that can help us in maintaining our wellness and fitness both physically and mentally. 

Actually, morning time is the most crucial time of the day because our morning often decides how our day is going to navigate.

To maintain a healthy routine, Hal Elrod suggested us 6 habits, which we must follow after getting up early in the morning by making it our ritual. 

To remember it nicely and properly, Hal Elrod has formed an acronym for it which is known as SAVERS. (Elrod)

“S” stands for Silence: first healthy morning habit

Here, silence means as per Elrod is Meditation or Prayer. (Elrod)

Most of the people immediately after getting up in the morning start taking tension and stress for a lot of things. 

Some take tension by reading newspapers. Some check out their Facebook, etc. Morning time isn’t a proper time for such activities. One can go through the newspaper or can watch the Facebook notifications at any other time during the day.

The wise people do not waste their morning time on such activities. They usually after getting up in the morning go in a silent mode like doing meditation, yoga, or prayer.  These healthy activities not only help to keep their brain calm and give them a great start but also make their brain healthy and fit for its peak performance. 

Meditation is considerably something spiritual that has an inevitable connection with our mental and physical well-being as well.

Thus, the very first thing to stay healthy and fit mentally and physically is to practice silence in the morning. 

“A” stands for Affirmation: 2nd morning habit for well-being

Affirmation is a very powerful technique that can be used to keep ourselves mentally and consequently physically healthy.

Affirmation is nothing but a positive statement that we say to ourselves again and again. In this way, it gets stuck to our subconscious mind to which our brain thinks is true and acts in the same way in reality as well.

For example: If continuously I say to myself that I am a fit person, it will slowly get stuck in my mind. And once it gets fixed in my subconscious mind, then in reality as well I will start considering myself a fit person. 

We can also interpret it in another way. If we once decide to do something, we ought to remind and assert time and again that we have to act upon our plan necessarily. 

At the beginning of our day, a repeated affirmation leads towards the fulfillment of our decisions regarding our healthiness. So, make affirmation an indispensable morning habit to maintain your health and fitness.

“V” stands for Visualization: 3rd healthy morning habit

Even this is another technique when we are out of our bed in the morning, that is somewhat similar to Affirmation.

In Affirmation you make something stuck in your subconscious mind by saying it again and again. Whereas in Visualization we use our imagination. We think about the things we want in reality, and form their images in the brain.

For example: When we have to make a plan to take exercise, at the start we have many problems. But later if we start visualizing what we have planned for jogging, wearing our shoes and while jogging we have a smile on our face and feeling really very great. After visualizing, going for exercise becomes no more difficult for us. 

Similarly for many things regarding our psychological health we can use our Visualization and make it a necessary part of the beginning of the day.

“E” stands for Exercise: 4th morning habit to stay healthy & fit

What we had visualized is now going to happen. 

Doing early morning exercise has many scientific benefits. Exercise gives more oxygen to our brains. Our brain releases Endorphin, it clears our thinking and finally helps us to feel better.

Our energy level goes up for the entire day. Resultantly many different benefits we get through exercise to maintain our physical as well as mental strength. 

I am not telling you to go to the gym and do exercise. We can get all these benefits just by doing a few minutes of exercise early in the morning. 

In fact, a one-minute jumping jack can increase our energy. It helps us to clear our thoughts and boost our energy 10 times better. Once you are habitual of taking morning exercise, surely you would secure your bodily as well as psychological health.

“R” stands for Reading: 5th morning habit for health and fitness

Reading doesn’t mean reading love stories or novels but it means reading books which help us to grow and develop.

Example: Reading self-help books that help us to improve our spiritual and mental health, intelligence, and knowledge. They also help us to improve our ways of life.

For instance, every morning we can make our habit to read our Holy Book according to our religious beliefs. It will definitely work to lead us towards our spiritual and psychological healthiness.

Scribing means writing, to write things. Writing our dreams about our goals etc. is the right habit we can adopt.

There is something unique and different about writing that is very powerful. It helps us to convert our dreams into reality. When our day starts if we get any thought or an idea, we have to write it down. 

Simply when we want to make a balanced and healthy diet plan, we should write it down to materialize it. This simple thing can help us a lot in our lives to develop our healthy eating habits.

To conclude, the above-mentioned six-morning habits might alter our ways of life if practiced. Remember nothing is more precious in this mortal world than bodily and spiritual health.
